Format

Stableford

Tee Off

12.30pm for Group 1, Group 2 to follow.

Groups

Groups have been decided based on placings at the previous match.

Group 1: Champ, Shitballs, Popeye

Group 2: Perv, Palmer, Ranga, Rabbi

Group 1 will tee off first. With the champ leading off as per Wombles tradition.

Mini Competitions

The competition will include two mini competitions.

The holes for these competitions will be decided on the day.

Rules

In addition to the Rules of Golf, the following rules must be observed and followed throughout the match.

  1. A Wombles sanctioned shirt is compulsory.
  2. Each player must consume a minimum of 6 cans of beer during their 18 holes. Ranga being a driver must consume at least 4 beers & Rabbi is except due to his medical experiment. The empty cans must be kept in each players bag for a count up at the conclusion of the round.
  3. There is a compulsory Torpedo to be taken on the tee box of the 9th hole by all members drinking (Rabbi exempt). This beer constitutes one of your minimum can requirements.
  4. Each player must take one mulligan during the round which can be taken at any time on the consideration & approval of your fellow group members.
  5. All non-scoring holes will incur a $5 fine. These fines will be rounded to the closest $10 at the fine session.
  6. Nicknames given at the infamous Queenstown event must be used for the entire round from when the Champ hits his first drive until the last putt is sunk in group 2. Each time a sanctioned nickname is not used then it is to be recorded and will be punishable by why of drinking. Each infringement will incur a “good mouth full” of beer of which it is expected that 4 “good mouth fulls” constitutes 1 vessel. The punishment will play out like this for example: If player X has 9 infringements then it is expected that there will be 2 vessels skulled followed by a mouthful of the 3rd vessel. It is also expected that fines for rule will be paid before we leave the golf course.
  7. Any 4 Putts are fineable by a Torpedo or $10, player to choose.
  8. If we get rained out and are unable to play then the rainday is Sunday 22nd June and if that day is rained off then Saturday 28th with times TBC

We will go over these rules prior to the 1st tee to ensure that everyone is clear.

As no hand outs will be given, please bookmark this site on your phone/print out for easy review during the round should it be needed.

Fine Session

The fine session will be held after the match at a venue to be confirmed but most likely it will be in the Waikare Golf Club.
